This elective course in music therapy is offered to CWRU medical students in the Spring semester. It is designed to introduce the profession of music therapy and what it can accomplish, explore music/medicine research, & to experience music therapy from a personal perspective. Several music therapists from the Cleveland area are invited as guest speakers to introduce their research and music therapy programs. The areas covered include Music Therapy in the medical and psychiatric hospital, hospice, and centers for developmental and behavioral disorders.
